Fictional Short Story - Stretched Nipples at my gym.

Summer was coming to an end and I was proud of dedication to make it to the gym 4 days a week. Most days I run for 20 mins, do some yoga, then lift for 30. It's only an hour but its been working. I feel the best I have felt in a long time.
Coming from work I pack a bag and change in the locker room. My typical workout fit is compression shorts and a sports bra so its quick, easy, and less laundry! I would say that’s a popular look at my gym so its not like I am a standout for wearing it. What does make me a standout is apparently my nipple rings! To be honest, I had never really thought much of them. I am 35 and tons of my friends have them pierced. I've noticed plenty of others at the gym over the years do as well. Amber who teaches spin class wears gold barbells, another lady I see from time to time wears silver rings, jessie that is always here has some opal looking barbells in her nipples, tongue, belly button, and 2 rings on each of her labia! The labia rings caught my eye one day she was drying off after a swim and bent over to blow out her hair.
I never thought much of being pierced other than I love having them and plenty of others do too. I got my nipples pierced at 19 during my freshman year of college. I couple of girls on my floor were going and I had to join. Barbells at first but I swapped around jewelry a ton in the first 5 years. Barbells, rings, d-rings, dainty little shields, you name it. One of these jewelry swaps I accidentally ordered 10g gold rings that were quite a bit thicker than all my other jewelry. They were a larger diameter which is why I had ordered them so they looked HUGE to me. Bigger diameter and thicker material but somehow they looked like they would fit. My nipples had been healed for some long that the jewelry had slowly stretched over time and you could see just the littlest bit of light through my piercings. To my surprise, these seemingly huge 10g rings slid right in. I stood in the mirror in awe at how powerful I felt with the new rings leading the way. I checked them out and just adored them. Now here is where things got interesting, I could still see some room through my piercings... did this mean I could put something larger in? What even is larger or the next size up? I knew so little but knew I was on to something! 8 gauge!! 8 gauge is the next size up. These were pre amazon days so I ordered 8g gold rings in the same 1" diameter and waited 2 weeks for them to arrive. In they went as soon as they landed in my mailbox. This was incredible - I had these absolutely gorgeous BIG rings and I was in love.
Fast forward through the years and I continued to stretch my nipple piercings every couple years. 6g, then 4g, 2g, 0g then I had my first baby at 28. I left my rings in as long as I could but eventually took them out about 6 weeks before delivery. Breastfeeding was a challenge, not from the piercings, but because my daughter never could figure it out. We gave up about 2 weeks in and she was bottle fed from there on. I put the rings back in my nipples a couple weeks after, but they had shrunk all the way back to 6g. The good news is that the breastfeeding, even for such a brief period had changed my nipples, they stretched so easily. I was back to 0g in a month and was so happy! Once I hit the larger gauges I really preferred to wear rings. They just look incredible and I feel powerful when I look in the mirror. I wore 0g rings until my second and last baby was born. This time I knew I wasn't breastfeeding and was lucky enough to leave them in for my entire pregnancy. I wore a tight sports bra the first month and my milk never even really came in. What a win!
A couple years ago I decided I would order some new rings, i had been at 0g for 7-8 years and was faced with that familiar feeling of thinking I should go bigger. The step up to 00g was substantial. 10mm thick is nearing 1/2". My 0g steel rings were heavy so I knew I might not be able to comfortably wear 00g in steel. Titanium for the win! Not cheap, but 00g titanium rings are lighter than my 0g steel. Luckily the 0g steel rings had been heavy enough to make way for my new 00g titanium rings. They slid right in and wow, this had to be the sexiest set of nip nops on the planet.

Oops! I stood up and said something like "oh gosh, thank you so much, sorry, I started responding to my boss and forgot I was half naked". " No worries" she replied, " I have actually never seen anyone else with stretched nipples before!" "Anyone else?" I replied excitedly! She began to lift her bra and out popped tiny but perky boobs with large silver rings and diamond beads. " I am at 00g, how about you?" - "00g too!" "Wow, this is too cool" I said. "So glad you stopped to talk to me. We chatted for a while and I learned she was 47, just moved here from Connecticut for her job, had 2 kids in high school, and had been pierced since college just like me. Over the next few months Sammy and I became friends and enjoyed working out together. We aligned our schedules to work out together as often as we could which meant that the locker room saw a lot of large gauge nipple rings when we changed or used the sauna. We both had a lot of jewelry between us and swapped out pairs of rings for different things. It’s so fun to have a friend to borrow from.
One day in the sauna Amber joined us after a spin class and told us she had been admiring our rings for a while. She had always loved mine but never seen them before... When Sammy showed up with another set of big rings she knew it had to be more common than she thought. Amber had just been to her piercer and gotten her second stretch last week! She was at 8g with her eyes set for 00. Who knew that Sammy and I would be setting trends and everyone would be loving it. Amber told us that her and jessie had chatted and she had stretched as well.
