Does anyone own copies of these? I've bought copies of #34, 38, 40, 41, 43, 47, and 51. Once I figure out a good way to scan them, I'm planning to post copies. Do you have scans of other issues?

I don't have any of them, but there are definitely something that needs to be preserved since they represent modification history. As far as I know, there is no place on line that has them all scanned. You'd be doing a good service by adding them here. I've only ever read through a few of the later ones that I encountered in the late 80s, but it would be nice to not only see all the pictures but also read through the articles and see how people then were thinking about it all.

Something that I hadn't realized until recently was how much overlap there was between early queer, leather, bdsm, and body mod culture. Especially interesting considering how much they've become more isolated communities since then.

That's true, although in my case I kind of prefer the heavy modification without all that other stuff. That's part of why the early history is hit and miss for me, but PFIQ at least gave some attention to the ladies with mods, which was always my interest. In any case, definitely a history that has not been well collected and preserved, unfortunately.
