Yes, it is a real bad start for the new year, a tragedy, and a disgrace for our country, that something like that can happen.
Reading all the hateful postings that blame her death onto herself in some online-forums of newspapers, freemailers etc. made me realize how many really mean people are out there.
This is deeply depressing ...

It was an absolutely unnecessary surgery (particularly in her case). And every surgery has the risk of unforseen, sometimes life-threatening, complications.
If her doctor was not an untrained butcher he informed her about the risks. But still she did it.
So senseless ...
