reply to poacher's inquiry regarding e's Burning Man picture
Dear Poacher, these pictures of e were taken at Burning Man. Burning Man ( see www.burningman.com ) is an event and gathering of 40,000 people in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada. The second largest flat spot in North America. It is a gypsum salt/talc pan. What you see is gypsum salt/talc. The temperatures are between 35 and 45 degrees celsius during the day and can get quit cool at night even freeze on occasion. The elevation is 1200 meters. Attached is a photograph taken from the air and a few pictures.

Wow .. many thanks for the photos & for the explanation ... I'm no longer mystified ...
And there was me thinking "e" was being terribly hardy in the cold weather .. the condition of her delightfully succulent nipples should have given me a clue ... Duh ..
