Hi Dan,
You can't say all that and not post the pictures! How about putting your scanner along the edge of a table or whatever it's sitting on. Then you can have the half the magazine that's not being scanned hanging off the edge so it only needs to be half open. If that makes sense.. And if you were feeling generous
