septum piercings. answer my question please.

there is debate over which piercing is the most painful. some people say septum. do you reckon it hurts. i dont think it does, but i dunno coz i havent got it done yet. *shrugs*

I had e's septum pierced. Done properly it did not hurt. There is generally a "sweet" spot toward the front and top of the septum, just inside the nose, where the cartiledge thins and there is only skin or the cartiledge is very much thinner than anywhere else nearby. A gentle smooth piercing (rather than a forceful thrusting -stabbing, piercing) taking ones time to mark both sides carefully so the entry and the exit are aligned will contribute greatly to a meanful experience and rewarding, level, results. The experience -physically, for e was on the order of a pinch going in and a pinch going out.
